Skyla and Jesus's play date

We drove by the church (her castle as sky calls it) the other day (fri), just driving by on our way to a store. She asked if we were going in and I told her no it wasnt time for church, thats on sunday in 2 days. She started yelling and crying saying she wanted to go to church and go to nursery to play toys and color. I tried again to explain to her No one was there so we couldnt go. She got mad at me and didnt talk to me for just about the rest of the day unless she wanted something to eat.

When Mick came home she asked him If she could go see Jesus. Mick told her she could see a pic of him and gave her a small pic we had on the wall by her bed for her to hold. She got mad and started crying and saying she wanted to go to Jesus house and see him. So we told her Jesus is in heaven with Heavenly Father and we cant see him right now. O my goodness that just made the whole situation worse! Needless to say this went on just about all night.

Finally in bed I was laying with her and she asked again if she could go see Jesus. I told her we would ask Heavenly Father in her prayers if she could go see him and that made her happy. So we said her prayers and she fell asleep with no problem.

My kids are sleep talkers and with Justin you can even talk to him and he will answer its really funny. So in the middle of the night last night (wednesday) out of no were Skyla yells "Hi Jesus" in her sleep. When she woke up this morning she went off about her and Jesus went to the park and he pushed her on the swings. Then they said "WEEEEE" as they went down a "swide" (slide hehe). I asked her if she had fun and she said she loves Jesus and cant wait to see him again.

I know Heavenly Father answers our prayers. It may not be the answer we want but he still answers just the same, but I guess when it comes to kids prayers he goes all out :)

Proud Mom

Justin has really taken to school this year, he is just enjoying every new challenge his teacher can throw at him. The best part is he LOVES it. He loves the work he does in class and even doing his homework ( I better enjoy this part wile I can). One of his fave things to do right now is to write sentences. They are writing sentences in class now along with writing shot stories and drawing a pic to go along with their story.

SO last night we are playing with the kids in their room and Justin is drawing pictures on his magna-doodle. After about 15 min of him drawing pic after pic he gets up and goes in the living room and yells at us to not come in. So Mick and I are playing with Skyla and about 2 min later Justin comes back in with a huge grin on his face. He turns his magna-doodle over and revels a wonderful sentence that he wrote all by himself with NO HELP AT ALL!!! He even spelled all the words right all by himself. Then he drew a pic of me and him smiling. "I like my mom" How can you not love that. He said he would have put I "love" my mom but he didn't know how to spell love :)

Coming from a family that runs high with dyslexia, and having it myself ( and hating school because of it) you have no idea how worried I have been that Justin would have it and struggle in school because of it. I have been setting myself up to hear the words that he has a problem, just in case he did have it....... I'm so glad to be wrong!

Funny Kid Pics

So after reading my friend Sarah Chiltons blog about all the cute funny pics she has of Asher, it got me looking through all the pics we have of the kids when they were just babies. So here are some of our crazy pics of the kids. First SKYLA....... We keep our fruit on the counter and Sky got ahold of 5 apples and took bites out of all of them. When we found her all she did was smile.

When she was small if you would ask her if you could have some of her milk this was the look you got.

She was laughing at Mick.

I just love this big smile. This was after a bath hence the reason she is naked.
JUSTIN........

This is what happens when you let your kids play with finger paints.

I have no idea what he was doing but it made a cute pic.

Eating his fave food carrots. I would put a spoonful in his mouth and he would play with it.

Guess what he was doing here :) grouse but a funny pic.

Hey Mickey

I love my hubby he is just wonderful. He has been really sick lately and still got up and went to work all week. Today (Sunday) was the first day in about 5 that he has felt good. So when me and the kids got home from church he had the dishes done and the house all clean.

Yesterday was a bad day the kids were crazy and Mick was grouchy and by 8pm I HAD IT. I went to go take a bath and about 3 min after being in there Mick came in with a bunch of candles lit set them up in the bathroom and turned off the light for me. He kept the kids out and I got to relax in the bath ALONE!!

He is such a sweet guy and I could not ask for more. Well today we were watching the VH1's 100 top 80's videos and guess what song was 50 something...... Yep "Mickey" by Toni Basil. SO in tribute to my wonderful hubby I figured how to add a play list and added a song just for him on here. Love you Mickey :) (he is going to kill me when he see's this LOL)

Toys Toys Toys!!!

I love Christmas and this year was the best so far with the kids. They both got the whole Santa thing and were so excited to go to bed last night it was so fun. Then to have them wake up early and see them get so excited over all the new things Santa brought them is just the best. I put some pics of some of the new toys they got. One thing Justin got was the HUGE hot wheels car T-rex thing. It has a mooter that spins this thing that shoots cars up the T-rex back (this thing is 28inch tall) and the cars land in his mouth. Then you hold a button and it shoots a car at the head and all the cars come flying out. Its shoots them so fast you cant even see them going up. I tried to get a video of it but it looks really bad (my camera is really old) but you get the jest of what it does.

Sky got some super girly things that she is just in love with. She got a fun dress up box with all kinds of things to wear (thanks Mom) and a nursery set for her babies. She loves it when its a high chair so she has been feeding her doll all day.

Hope you all had a great Christmas :)

Sorry the video is sideways I thought I could change it once I got it on the computer but I cant. Don't worrie its short LOL
